How do I measure my dog's neck and chest?
Neck: measure around the neck where the collar sits. Chest: measure around the widest part of the ribcage, just behind the front legs. Measure while your dog is standing and keep the tape snug without squashing the coat.
What if my dog is between two sizes?
Choose the larger one. Supplier measurements can vary by 1–3 cm, and a harness or collar can usually be tightened but not made bigger.
Should I choose a harness or a collar?
A harness spreads pressure across the chest and shoulders instead of the neck, and a dog car seat belt should be attached to the harness – never the collar. Many owners use a collar for ID and a harness for walks.
